ZACH ADLEMAN
Jazz Drummer
Originally from Montclair, New Jersey, drummer Zach Adleman has built a multifaceted career that spans performance, recording, composition, and education. He has appeared at major venues including Carnegie Hall and the GRAMMY Awards After Parties, sharing the stage with leading figures such as Wynton Marsalis and Christian McBride. His work includes a GRAMMY-winning contribution to Ted Nash’s Presidential Suite, and his artistry earned him first prize at the J.C. Heard National Drum Competition.
Zach has toured internationally, recorded on multiple albums, and released his debut project as a bandleader, We Make: Stories for a New Day, which received critical attention from outlets including Modern Drummer Magazine, All About Jazz, and Paris Move. His compositions have been featured in a Juilliard alumni concert, in dance works presented at the 92nd Street Y, and in a film score created in collaboration with the London Film School.
A dedicated educator, Zach has taught at institutions and programs such as the Calhoun School, the Stanford Jazz Workshop, the Jazz Institute at Brevard, the 92nd Street Y, and Jazz House Kids NYC. He completed his formal studies at Michigan State University and The Juilliard School, where he refined his musical approach and expanded his artistic voice.
