OLIVIA ROSE MANNA

Mezzo-Soprano

Jazz mezzo-soprano Olivia Manna is a classically trained lyric mezzo whose artistry bridges the worlds of opera and jazz with exceptional warmth, clarity, and emotional depth. A graduate of the SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Music, she brings the discipline of operatic technique—refined control, expressive phrasing, and nuanced color—into the fluid, improvisational world of jazz.

Olivia’s work centers on revitalizing the Great American Songbook and timeless jazz standards, infusing them with sensitivity, vulnerability, and a fresh interpretive voice. Her musical journey is deeply personal, inspired by her late father’s belief that her voice would one day return to jazz—an artistic promise she now honors through performances rooted in authenticity and human connection.

She is the first prize winner of the New York International Music Competition and the Birmingham International Vocal Competition, and a recipient of the Frank Surdi Memorial Award for Cross-Over Artistry. Her performances have taken her to stages such as Carnegie Hall’s Zankel Hall, Birdland Jazz Club, and Don’t Tell Mama NYC, where she captivates audiences with her blend of classical refinement and soulful jazz storytelling.

Through every song, Olivia invites listeners into a space of honesty, emotion, and shared experience, keeping the spirit of jazz alive as a profoundly human conversation.
