Daniel Cohen is a Juilliard graduate award-winning saxophonist, woodwind doubler, composer, arranger, and educator based in New York City. He has achieved first place in multiple prestigious competitions, including the Downbeat student awards best jazz arrangement, Vandoren Emerging Artist, Carinthia Saxophone Competition, Jim Widner Competition, Kfar Saba Wind Competition, and the Rostov International Jazz Competition.

Cohen is a member of Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Future Of Jazz Orchestra as well as the Ted Nash Big Band and has shared the stage with Kenny Washington, Rodney Green and many more.. Cohen has performed at iconic venues like Carnegie Hall, New York City Center, Konzerthaus Berlin, Rose Hall at Lincoln Center, Dizzy’s Club, Smalls, and the Red Sea Jazz Festival.

In recent years, Cohen has expanded his musical repertoire by incorporating classical music influences, further enriching his unique style, which remains deeply rooted in the jazz tradition. His compositions skillfully blend elements of both jazz and classical music.
