Joe Bell is an award-winning actor and multi-hyphenate creative whose work centers on independent film. Known for grounded and emotionally present performances, he brings discipline, nuance, and intuitive storytelling to every role. His lead work in Fenwick earned him Best Actor at the Northeast Film Festival, alongside more than 15 award nominations and 16 festival selections, positioning him as a rising talent in the indie landscape.
Joe has led projects including Fenwick, 30 Percent, In Due Time, Faith, Cult, and Penny. Behind the camera, he contributes as a writer, producer, editor, and director, giving him a multidimensional understanding of the filmmaking process and strengthening his collaborative impact on set.
He holds a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Film Studies from Trinity College, where he developed his artistic approach through an integrative study of production, aesthetics, and performance. His craft continues to evolve through training at The Barrow Group and the VIP Ignite program.
Joe’s athletic background includes competing as a recruited NCAA Division III basketball player at Trinity College, an experience that informs his resilience and physical presence on screen. Additional training in parkour, skiing, track, and movement further expands his range for dynamic and physically demanding roles.
