Xun Huang is an artist and musical director whose work bridges cultures, genres, and storytelling traditions. Trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London and the Shanghai Theatre Academy, he brings a distinctive fusion of Eastern sensitivity and Western theatrical craft to his creative work.
As the musical director of Blossoming (You Undo Me)—the United Kingdom’s first original Chinese queer musical—Xun explores themes of identity, emotion, and human connection with clarity, honesty, and artistic depth. His approach combines musical innovation with narrative intention, shaping work that resonates across diverse audiences and cultural contexts.
A recipient of the Michael Ross Award, Xun continues to expand the possibilities of contemporary theatre, creating art that is both deeply personal and universally relevant.
