Violinist

Portuguese violinist Diogo Teixeira Lopes began his musical studies at the Curso de Música Silva Monteiro in Porto and currently studies at the Manhattan School of Music under the guidance of Chloe Kiffer. Known for his expressive sound and technical refinement, he has performed across Europe and the United States, appearing in venues such as the Palais de la Mutualité in Lyon, Hall Ehrbar Saal in Vienna, GC de Lijsterbes in Belgium, Teatro Campo Alegre in Portugal, and Saint Pere de Rodes in Spain.

Diogo has collaborated with and performed for distinguished musicians including Kiril Troussov, Olga Kern, Philippe Raskin, Benedict Kloeckner, Ole Bøhn, Álvaro Teixeira Lopes, Leon Spierer, Gaël Rassaert, Carles Lamas, and Sofia Cabruja. He has taken part in masterclasses with renowned artists from around the world, further refining his artistry and expanding his musical perspective.

He performs on an António Capela violin crafted in 1982, formerly owned by Portuguese violinist António Anjos, and serves as the first violinist of the Capela String Quartet.
