Brazilian pianist Estefan Iatcekiw is widely recognized as one of the most promising young artists of his generation, celebrated for his virtuosity, depth of interpretation, and remarkable musical maturity. He has received top honors at major international competitions, including First Prize and the Audience Choice Award at the International Piano Competition Ciudad de Vigo (Spain), First Prize at the International Rachmaninov Piano Competition for Young Pianists in Germany, and distinctions at the International S. Rachmaninov Competition in Moscow. He has also earned awards at the RPM International Competition in Sanremo, further establishing his growing international reputation.

Estefan began his musical studies at the age of five and made his solo recital debut at nine. Since then, he has been a laureate in numerous national and international competitions, earning prizes for performance, interpretation, and artistic excellence. His achievements include honors at the Prof. Edna Bassetti Habbith Competitions—where he was named Best Interpreter of Brazilian Music—along with awards from the Souza Lima National Competition, the Mackenzie Competition, the Goiânia Symphony Young Soloists Competition, the Yamaha National Piano Competition, and TV Cultura’s Prelúdio Competition, which granted him a full scholarship to the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Budapest.

Estefan previously studied at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow and is currently pursuing his undergraduate degree at The Juilliard School under the mentorship of Sergei Babayan. Known for his deep affinity for Russian repertoire, Estefan is recognized as one of the youngest pianists to perform the complete solo piano works of Sergei Rachmaninov, including chamber music and concerto performances.

His discography includes albums dedicated to major works by Rachmaninov—such as the Piano Sonatas and the 24 Preludes—as well as recordings featuring music by Chopin and Scriabin. Estefan regularly performs as a soloist throughout Europe and the Americas, collaborating with leading orchestras and distinguished conductors. His career continues to be defined by artistic integrity, expressive sensitivity, and a commanding presence on the international stage.
