Rafailia Kapsokavadi

Violinist

Rafailia Kapsokavadi is an award-winning Greek violinist based in New York City, recognized for her refined artistry, technical poise, and compelling musical expression. She has appeared in major cultural centers throughout the United States and Europe, performing at Carnegie Hall, Zankel Hall, Alice Tully Hall, David Geffen Hall, New York City Center, Symphony Space, and the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg.

She has collaborated with ensembles such as the Chamber Orchestra of New York, New England Symphonic Ensemble, Brooklyn Chamber Orchestra, Tallinn Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Mannes Orchestra. Her performance career spans solo, chamber, and orchestral engagements, supported by appearances at notable institutions and festivals including Ravinia’s Steans Music Institute, the Eastern Music Festival, Classical Bridge Music Festival, and the Alion Baltic International Music Festival.

Rafailia is the recipient of numerous distinguished honors, including top prizes at the Prague Summer Nights International Young Artists Music Festival, the Alion Baltic International Music Festival, and the Pärnu International Music Festival, in addition to the Dean’s Award for outstanding achievement from the Mannes School of Music and competitive scholarships throughout her training.

She completed advanced violin studies at The Juilliard School and Mannes School of Music in New York, following formative education in Greece and the United States. Dedicated to artistic excellence and sharing music with diverse audiences, she continues to expand her international presence while contributing to New York’s vibrant classical community.
