ROBERT FRAZIER

Bass-Baritone

Bass-baritone Robert Frazier has been praised by Opera Today for his “beautifully colored” tone and is recognized for his compelling stage presence across both classic and contemporary repertoire. He has performed with companies such as Washington National Opera, Wolf Trap Opera, Des Moines Metro Opera, the Ravinia Steans Music Institute, and the Music Academy of the West, singing roles including Figaro in Le nozze di Figaro, Schaunard in La bohème, and Reverend John Hale in The Crucible.

A committed advocate for new music and modern storytelling, Robert has originated roles in operas by Leigh Amick, John Carroll, Brett L. Wery, and Amy Beth Kirsten. He continues to expand his contemporary repertoire through collaborations with composers and organizations dedicated to developing new American opera.

Robert holds a Master of Music from the Curtis Institute of Music and a Bachelor of Music from SUNY Purchase.
