Soprano
Korean soprano Sunwoo Park is recognized for her radiant tone, agility, and charismatic stage presence. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Seoul National University and both a Master’s degree and Graduate Certificate from the University of Southern California.
Sunwoo has performed with companies including Opera Santa Barbara, Wolf Trap Opera, Santa Fe Opera, and Lyric Opera of Chicago. Her repertoire includes roles such as Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro, Ännchen in Der Freischütz, Papagena in The Magic Flute, and Musetta in La Bohème (cover). She has also covered roles in works such as Rusalkaand George Benjamin’s Lessons in Love and Violence, demonstrating her versatility across both traditional and contemporary repertoire.
A frequent competition honoree, Sunwoo has been recognized by the Loren L. Zachary National Vocal Competition, the Palm Springs Opera Guild, the Maria Caniglia International Competition in Italy, and the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition. Her artistic work also extends beyond the stage— she has recorded music for a Japanese Nikon commercial and the main title song for the animated film Tachikoma, showcasing her versatility across genres.
